Day 10 of the Sketch Project

My mother-in-law planted a ton of tulip bulbs awhile back, and they are in full bloom - absolutely gorgeous! There are white, yellow, purple, and pink tulips everywhere. When the sun is shining, right before twilight, the light makes the petals transparent and airy. God did quite the job on those flowers! Here are few that I sketched today:

I used to live in Holland (Michigan), where they'd cut off your hands if you as much as thought about picking a tulip. They lined streets with them, and would stick metal poles in, so if anyone tried to mow them down with their car door, the door would take on some heavy damage.

Have you taken drawing classes? Or is it just something you've always liked doing?

I've never taken a drawing class - but I think it would be a good idea. When I was in 4th grade, I was obsessed with drawing, and I got pretty decent for a 4th grader. :) I pick it up every once in a while when i get the itch. It's fun.
